What the Service is

ShowOff.today is a paid public showcase. Users may publish an image, URL and text as one flex, pay for leaderboard placement, boost the total paid for an existing entry, or authorize a bid for the next Spotlight. Leaderboard order is based primarily on total confirmed payment and may change whenever another payment is confirmed. Winning the Spotlight does not guarantee first place on the leaderboard.

Leaderboard entries and Spotlight placements are paid advertisements and user submissions, not editorial reviews, certifications or endorsements. Payment does not guarantee traffic, clicks, customers, revenue, a particular leaderboard position for any duration, or any other result.

Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract.
• If you submit on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
• You may not use the Service where doing so would violate applicable law, sanctions or payment-provider rules.

Leaderboard payments

A leaderboard payment purchases immediate publication at the position supported by the entry’s total confirmed payment at that moment. Other users may pay or boost more and move ahead. Entries are intended to remain available until removed under these Terms or until we introduce and clearly announce a retention period.

Spotlight bidding

Spotlight bids compete for the next approximately 24-hour Spotlight period. PayPal may place an authorization hold when a bid is approved. A leading bid is not a completed charge. When the auction closes, we may capture the winning authorization and release or void non-winning authorizations. Bank and PayPal processing times can affect when a released hold disappears.

A bid may be displaced before the auction closes. The winning flex receives the Spotlight placement and is also eligible for the leaderboard, but its leaderboard rank depends on the relevant confirmed payment, not on the Spotlight win itself. We may postpone or rerun an auction where payment capture, moderation, availability or technical problems prevent a valid result.

Payments, PayPal and taxes

Checkout is processed by PayPal. We do not collect or store complete payment-card or bank-account details. PayPal’s own terms and privacy notice also apply to payment processing. Prices are displayed in US dollars, and your provider may apply currency conversion, bank fees or taxes.

Except where required by law, payments for an immediately delivered leaderboard placement, completed boost or captured Spotlight win are final. Contact us promptly if a payment was duplicated, unauthorised or the purchased placement was not delivered. Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded.

Your submissions and permissions

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, cache, resize, format, reproduce and publicly display that content and related public metadata for operating, moderating, promoting and maintaining the Service.

You confirm that you own the submitted content and destination or have permission to use and promote them; that your information is accurate; and that the submission complies with advertising, consumer, privacy, intellectual-property and other applicable laws.

Prohibited content and conduct

• Illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, hateful, violent, exploitative or infringing content.
• Malware, phishing, impersonation, counterfeit goods, hidden destinations or unauthorised promotion of another person’s property.
• Regulated offers made without the licences or disclosures they require.
• Manipulating views or clicks, interfering with the Service, bypassing safeguards, or using automated access that harms the Service.

Moderation and removal

We may refuse, delay, edit, recategorise, hide or remove a submission where we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, applicable law, a third party’s rights, payment-provider requirements, or creates legal, security or reputational risk. We may preserve records needed for payment disputes, fraud prevention and legal compliance.

Third-party destinations

Links and uploaded content are supplied by users. We do not verify every statement, product or destination and do not endorse an entry merely because it appears on the Service. When you follow a link, you leave ShowOff.today and the destination’s own terms and privacy practices apply.

Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We may change ranking formulas, minimum amounts, auction timing, categories, storage limits, moderation rules or features. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by an updated date. Terms applicable when a payment was completed continue to govern that payment unless a change is required by law or necessary to address security or abuse.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, accurate click or view counts, continuous storage, or any commercial outcome. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data or lost opportunities. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it remains unaffected. Subject to mandatory law, our total liability for a claim concerning a paid placement will not exceed the amount paid for that placement.

Governing law and general terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, while consumers retain any mandatory rights that applicable law gives them. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the details shown at checkout form the agreement for the relevant use or purchase.
